Our prices are available through email, API and all major third-party data aggregators. General Index marine fuel assessments are FCA-regulated and derived using IOSCO-approved methodologies, and give all bunker market participants access to robust price references based on a transparent calculation methodology.
General Index’s launch prices are based on a historical data set of 40,000+ trades and price signals, with several hundred additional data points ingested daily, reflecting market activity across the globe. These trades and indications, normalised for intra-day crude price movements, are cleansed for anomalous activity, and automatically processed into benchmark prices in a matter of minutes.

Our Europe, Asia and USA prices are published daily (subject to General Index holiday calendar) and made available to customers via direct data feeds and emails.
General Index marine fuel module comprises prices for four grades: marine gasoil (MGO), 0.5%S fuel oil (VLSFO) and high-sulphur fuel oil (180cst and 380cst).
All prices are in USD/MT and normalised via internal calculations to reflect market value as at these designated market close timings: 18.00 Singapore (Asia/Mideast), 16.30 London (Europe/Africa) and 16.30 Houston (Americas).
